What a beautiful beautiful beautiful sight to behold.

The Amiga community is going to go ape poo when this gets released. I personally think demand will be more than most other Vampire types, including the standalone.

I don't know how on earth I am going to survive waiting for this, especially after this tease. STOP TEASING US MAJSTA :)

I'm not convinced of that.

With the standalone you can pretty much create anything - including reanimating dusty old Amiga artifacts.

But hey, options are a good thing.

W00T!! Yes, leave that LED Logo!

No thank you to a standalone for me. I'll buy the Vampire A1200 as soon as it's available.

I'll be able to do huge Dpaint / Brilliance anims with tons of memory, finally! If I can get one of these, I'm doing a whole animated film, done exclusively on the classic Amiga.

External serial / parallel devices such as my Pyramid MIDI, and VIDI Amiga RT grabber, sound samplers will all work as well.

Fingers crossed for a release in the next 6 months! Go team go!

I feel so relieved now, as I have seen this video more then month ago but I promised to Majsta I will not share it :)
It was not hard not to share video, but it was hard not to reply to some posts of skeptics, I am happy that is over and that video is public now :)

I too can't wait for the Vampire 1200. I am sending this reply on my Vampire 600 V2.1, just installed. Wedge Amiga's Rule :)

Has the design of the V4 influenced this board, or is this based on the V2 boards?

The Vampire 1200 was announced in the V4 release information last year, unless there is some secret plans on a budget model it was always intended to be V4 based. But I suspect that would be more trouble than it would be worth for Majsta.

This is a Majsta project. It's not a v4, but surely is a step ahead from the v2.
Take a look to Majsta web page, when he talks about v666. V1200 will probably be similar on features

Thanks for clearing this is ... A1200 + wedged "v2 Vampire", with lets say, design improvements. Its Majstas home pet project showing how improved FPGA model can be used and board improved while retaining "Vamp compatibility". Will it ever go public, Majsta will say. But even limited availability, as well as of improved V600 V2 design would be nice! I suppose no soldering is needed and that Majsta will autoregister the cores.

Such a pack would be a nice V2 improvement and evolution. Plus the LEDs and A1200 option :-) From the V600 producer :-)

Majsta:
" For some time I wanted to prove myself that I can design accelerator card around Cyclone V FPGA. It turned out that designing such card was very easy and not much different than designing card with Cyclone III. Only real difference was that I had to go with 6-layers PCB. It took me one month to do it and in September of 2017. everything was finished and prepared for testings. In this specific card I wanted to implement all knowledge gathered from previous designs. I wanted bridge between V2 models and upcoming V4 keeping SDRAM but adding Cyclone V as a base. Vampire 600 V3 code named V666 is born with 5CEFA4F23I8N or 5CEFA5F23I8N Cyclone V FPGA.
Some other components are added like DVI level shifter (PTN3360BBS) for better video out, much bigger flash is used (S25FL128SAGMFI011) and lot of expansions headers including new IDE header implemented from Vampire 500 V2+ model. There were number of fixes on microSD slot, SDRAM, power section. I have played also with silkscreen and soldermask and made card shine with red light provided by LED diodes. In general, performance of this card are not different than on V2 models and that's something I did expect. You can't get more as long you use SDRAM. Card was never planned for production and its purpose was purely as development card for the Apollo-team. This year on Alchimie 2018 card is presented and people started to talk about it on the forums so in this article I wanted to give more details. "

This will break heart John or William...

Edit:
Above quote is probably related to Vampire 600 V3 code named V666 not V1200 - so John or William is safe...
