Hey. I bought a week ago the new Vampire V600 2.1 in amigastore.eu and I have a question whether registration is required now?
I downloaded core 2.10 today but for now I have a black and white picture.
Regards.

I had the same question, the answer is wait for the next core, which will have the newest board serials added, just like me ;-)

So we wait. It would be nice if the wiki was given the date of the last update of the core with serial numbers.

I'm guessing this will be the same for my vampire 500 V2 when it arrives this week.
Probably wont be too long till 2.11 is released, so not a massive problem.

That's how we wait. At this time, we can test the gold 3 alpha :).

Mmm. How long do we wait?
Black'n'white isn't quite what I was hoping for my first impression/week of amazement staring at my CoffinOS etc...

Don't mind the odd couple of days, but I really hope it's not weeks/months before 2.11 is out - like if tied to a big feature or something. They should push intermediary versions weekly or something! :)
Why are they doing this BTW? There are a bunch of rogue generic FPGA cards out there?

Reg: Faster you register, lesser you wait and 2.11 is awaited release. So if you have done it, its highly likely next 2.10 fixed or 2.11 release will provide color.

Rogues: There is unknown number and this is V2 specific trouble that
is NOT likely to happen ever again. Its anti piracy measure and a smart one.

Wait time:  Patience is advised. Every recent V2 user has been through the drill.

If this is such a trouble, try older Coffin R33 fixed PFS OR simply AmigaOS 3.9+SAGA drivers and see the ... millions of colurs :--)

Faster I register? Wait. I thought there was no need to register anymore? New board serials were added automatically as you mentioned in other thread?
If we have to do anything - let us know ASAP!

Same I thought registration wasn't needed any more.

XD
Well panic over then. I'm sure it won't be too long till 2.11 is out. Till then I'll stick with 2.5 and use my 3.x c.f. card, probably take me a while to get used to workbench again, haven't really used it since around 97-98.

You don't always have to wait for new core version release.
Updates with new serials on current cores are also done on a regular interval.

Good to know, any way to find out without flashing to 2.10?
I may just do it then use the exe for 2.5 to go back if it fails.
