1) Can anyone explain/ point me to a link on how to run Atari ST games using Gold 2.9 EmuTOS feature? I would like to load Atari ST floppy images from Gotek.

2) When i try to map an Atari ST TOS rom through MapRom, I get the mesage "BREAK: File size must be 256KB, 512KB or 1MB". How can I map it?

Thanks!

FreeMINT does NOT emulate Atari ST chipset - its "kind of UNIX like OS4 of MINT". There are "Classic Atari emulators" on Aminet that work quite well on Aminet that will suite your purpose.

IF Atari chipset becomes implemented in v4 Vamps (we dont know is this planned) chipset emulation might be unneeded, just like as in Amiga case.

MapROM can only use Amiga format ROMs. Luckily. there is emuTOS ROM made for it.

  EmuTOS  emutos-amiga-rom-0.9.9.1.zip  2017-12-14  428.9 kB

Or you can try beta one
  emutos-amiga-rom-20180406-174547-6958896.zip  2018-04-06  429.8 kB
  EXTERNAL LINK
Inside you will find a Vampire specific ROM.

emutos-vampire.rom - English ROM optimized for Vampire V2 accelerators

That is your MapROM file!

Note that FreeMINT setup is no peace of cake either (unless we get some Vamp edition).

It requires one small partition for TOS and one for FreeMINT. Some basic guide can be found here EXTERNAL LINK
I hope someone will do more Vampire specific one as Atari voyage progresses.

Mint is at the same time most modern TOS incarnation and similarly to our OS4 chipset independent, thus only TOS friendly applications work. However, there is a number of tools made just for MINT, and I am hunting them too :-)
