To the Team: Could You Make .stl File Available?

Hey folks,

My plastic riser that keeps the Vampire in place lost its grip on the screws after a few hours of intensive use (blaming James Pond for that!) -- the moderate heat from the 68k nearby made the PLA slightly soft, enough for it to lose the threading.

Any chance you could make the original .stl file available for download? Would love to print a new one on sturdier ABS.

I know it's not a complex model to make from scratch, but... =D

Although not a complicated model to make by any stretch of the imagination, it's not nearly as simple as you propose. Requires a good caliper to get the width and depth of the screws (top and bottom are different sizes) or, failing that, quite a bit of trial-and-error. Also, the height of the model has to be very precise (to a fraction of a millimetre) to raise the Vampire just the right amount. Again, this requires calipers.

Anyway, bought a caliper and will model the replacement shortly. Just thought it simpler to ask here since the model exists and would be very simple to share. =/

Yes that's true it's easier with the file but it's not a difficult thing to make , I'll do a couple next time I have the Amiga down , may also make a clip for a fan too

Hi,

Here is my stl file, let me know if it is good. I made the hole deliberately smaller than needed, so you will need a 1.1 or 1.2mm drill to widen it or do it another way
