Update.  I got some time yesterday and started testing...

DKB RapidFire w/8MB RAM with a SCSI2SD v6 Rev F. and a Toshiba SD-M1711 DVD ROM (both internal) are working.  I used the RapidFire-12.DMS from Amiga Resource - EXTERNAL LINK
Speed from SysInfo v4.0 is 6,553,600.

SysInfo's disk speed test is not that reliable. Better to use RawSpeed Controller Performance Test:

EXTERNAL LINK

Max speed for ZorroII:

7.14*(16/8)/4 = 3.57MB/sec (busclockspeed * (buswidth / bitsinbyte) / busclocksperbuscycle))

0.36MB/sec is a very slow speed. Maybe 128K sequential gives a better result.

Peter Weuffen,

I also have an Arananet a2000 cpu dip adapter but had no instructions. My question is: which direction do I install it? Socket side twords the Zorro slots or the Power supply side?

Thanks,

Steve Dowden

GVP A4000-HC+8 DMA SCSI controller works. According to RSCP it uses a little bit less CPU than A2091-Q40. Tested with the Gold2.5 + default KS31 ROM.

I just had a thought, that CV64/3D card not working. was that the DCE version that supported "fast Z2" mode, or the original phase5?

eitherway, I must admit that I am on the lookout for an unexpanded A1500/A2000 to drop a Vamp500 into :D

If it's if any help I have tried the following:

Commodore 2091 (DMA) = fail
SCRAM2000 (non-DMA) = fail
Oktagon 2008 (non-DMA) = works
