| Hi, I thought about getting a memory expansion for my A600 (A604n), but then thought no, I'll wait for core 3 because that will give me 2mb chip anyway. Then I wondered about the RTC module. Would this still be used once the core 3 magic happens and all the custom logic moves to the FPGA? Anybody know? Cheers.

| Non-team member, it has been displayed Vamp can map 4MB FAST as up to 4MB Chip (of its own RAM). I *suppose* RTC on expansions should still be usefull. Someone who is beta tester should give a more detailed and accurate answer. This FB picture (cant provide better) by Danilo Lisinac displays 4mb chip and clock back with Apollo R38 (on Vamp X14) EXTERNAL LINK

| Some logic will still be used in the original Amiga chips even with Gold 3, A600 IDE, floppy control, mouse etc. this will include the real time clock address decoding (done by Gayle I think).

Hopefully they will have an option to replace the motherboard RTC with one via the GPIO headers on the vampire, I know my A3000 and others have dead-nonfunctional clocks due to battery damage and this would be a great way to work around that.

| Hi...that DE10-nano includes useless I2C accelerometer chip which is like 5th leg for dog. How they supposed to use accelerometer on board full of connected wires - it's pretty stationary device. They should include RTC instead which is pretty natural chip for such board.
