The question is..is this going to be the v4 for a1200 or an "intermediate" vampire for 1200 (maybe a v2 with 512mb ram?). It seems to be different from the v4 board.

My first throught was special A1200 model alone, but looks like a mid connector to connecting V4 to A1200.

Links do work, just require group membership, and setting is set to closed. I am really sorry, but original posters have made it private/closed group.

As soon as some other, more public images appear, they will be posted.

A connector this big and winged-shaped? I don't know if this v1200 will ever be released, but I'm pretty sure it's a prototipe of a vampire card, not a connector for v4.

Looks very nice if its the board alone in this wing shape.

Personally, I find the design appealing, even it looks prototype stage and might not be "the final solution"

First pic where it looks connected to V2/V4 is a bit missleading. Team will clarify.

The wing shaped card is a Vampire 2 A1200 version. Will be the cheaper card for the A1200 (Think Vampire 2 A500). The more expensive is like on all other Amigas the Vampire 4.

  Thank you for clarification.

So since "its just a matter of connector" both v2 and v4 Vamps go  A1200. Nice!

Nice connector too! Batman fans will love it, while clearly is a Vampirism homage, not some rich orphan pretending to be a bat superhero :-)

Vojin:
The two photos represents the same board (v2 a1200 prototype). The v4 board will not have the "winged" shape.

Thank you for clarification that it is a v2 model connector (as I assumed in title).

From pure look point "winged shape" is nice :-)

I must be the only one that doesn't like the shape of the board, but I still say good on the team for doing something different. That's what this hobby needs, people innovating and thinking outside of the square...literally. :)

One of the issues I see with this design, is it's awkward shape when trying to fit it to the A1200 motherboard. Pushing expansion cards onto the A1200 edge is hard enough at the best of times, let alone trying to find somewhere for your fingers to push against. From an occupational health and safety perspective, I can see lots of people cutting themselves on all those sharp corners. :)

It would be even harder to get that card connected to a revision 1A motherboard since the edge connector on that wasn't even chamfered. It had a sharp squared edge which made putting cards on it an absolute nightmare. I know because I used to have one and one of the pins on my accelerator card got snagged on the edge. Commodore fixed that problem on later revisions.

I agree with you on pretty much all the points, only I actually like the design. It looks cool, but I think maybe it’s a little big. If it’s as long as the Blizzard 1240/1260 it will be too long for my tower with the mediator. I am certain the card could easilly be designed to be smaller than that

And yeah, I can see people hurting themselves on the sharp edges too
