I will try with pure hdmi and a A500 PSU too and report back.

Which OS do you use?
Which resolution is your WB?
What monitor do you use?

Where did you buy that V600?

Man is this an old post.
  Bought it from Canada.

I'm still having the "blackouts" with a res of 800x600 max.
But I gotten used to live with it.
I'm assuming that this is a) due to the digital output not being as properly done as with the latest V500, b) my old not yet recapped A600/A500 PSUs.
I'm in the process of recapping my PSUs. Hopefully that will also make thing a little better.

Remember: You have recapped Amiga five times per every century - otherwise the team can't guarantee Vampire works as expected...
These mean you have recapped your Amiga since 20 years of usage...

That sounds so simple. But it isn't.
Recapping Amiga hardware or PSUs is not a trivial task. Finding someone who can do it for you isn't trivial either and nor everyone has knowledge how to do it himself.

Interestingly the whole system gets more stable when the digital output is not used at all.

Are you able to solder?

Even if brand new the stock A600/A1200 PSU, may not have enough current draw capabilities to keep up with an Accelerator and an IDE device from what I've read online. I definitely saw an improvement in my A600 vampire blanking issue when I switched supplies. If you have one, an Amiga 500 type 2 PSU had better current draw on the 5V rail and may serve you better.

I use this Mean Well Industrial Supply for my BreadBox Amigas, it's pretty much a good drop in replacement and it fits the existing casing. I just ripped out the old board and crimped on some spade terminal block plugs on the wire and attached the new supply.

    EXTERNAL LINK
That said this wasn't the end all solution, I still had blanking at 720p on my 28" Samsung TV, a smaller 19" TV I have didn't seem to have this issue. To resolve that I ended up using this DIGITAL-VIDEO/SCART to DIGITAL-VIDEO adapter.

    EXTERNAL LINK
This box seems to be a bit more tolerant to odd resolutions and clock rates than the TV itself. Plus it also gave me a solution for handling a PAL output from the RGB port on an NTSC TV.

Just an interesting read on Amiga PSUs: EXTERNAL LINK

Yeah, a little bit. I can recap my stuff but I'm not sure much more.

Is there something that can be done to improve the output port?

On the VAMP are 2 caps in size 0805.
They are labeled C3 and C6.

There was a batch of card where those caps were weaker than planned.
You can strengthen them with soldering another cap on top.
E.g. just 10uf or 22uf on top.

OK, that's something I can do.

Caps at C3+C6,HDMi ground and a repeater. I have no problems with 1376x720( maybe not the 100% value, have to look later)

Hmm, alright. You didn't use 0805s. Well, 10yF are 10yF.

What an improvement.
Even 1024x768 is now possible without blackscreens.

What pixclock MHz do you have for this?
Do you use a DIGITAL-VIDEO repeater?

OK, I was a little too quick. 1024x768x16 is still on the edge.
But 800x600 is now much more stable now.
Still some glitches for a while after switch on, when everything is still cold.
Hope that goes away when the PSU was recapped.

I have no repeater. Had tried it last year, but it didn't do any improvement.
Will try again with it.

In my case using of hdmi amplifier didn't helped.

I've tried everything:
- buying not-cheap shortened cables,
- recaping A500 4.5A psu (my A600 was recaped before mounting V2 and worked well with Furia 020 without any problems almost half of year),
- tested on two A600 mobos (one rev 2, one rev 1.5),
- tested with ATX psu (5V runs on right voltage),
- tested 3 hdmi amplfiers (one from Vampire wiki, one scart-hdmi/hdmi converter recommended by one of FB Vampire group member, one hdmi active switch),
- tested with 6-7 monitors/tv's (Panasonic TV, Samsung TV/DVI, 2x Dell monitors with DVI, Benq G2420HD hdmi/dvi, Infotronic L2130s which takes and display all what you give on input >15kHz at bizzare refresh frequency even 15Hz).
- replaced capacitors after voltage regulators to 2x22uF,
- replaced resistor on hdmi to 39 Ohms (previous step was trying 100nF capacitors),

At final I've made very short hdmi cable which gives +5V and GND from floppy connector, to power hdmi repeater and relieve plcc connector:
EXTERNAL LINK
Nothing helped. I've still blackouts on "out-of-the-box" ApolloOS (first at 1:33, second at 2:55, and some glitch but I don't see it now on recording):
EXTERNAL LINK
Vampire is a great piece of work but I see I have a very bad luck... Using it with only rgb screenmodes is nonsense...

What resolution do you use?
What MHZ (pixeclock) does it have in P96 settings?

I can not check that at this moment but on video (my previous post) it's factory 800x600@60Hz as it comes with ApolloOS image (I've changed only wallpaper and removed calendar from WB).

Tried also reducing pixelclock below 30MHz (even to left side of slider)- modes with 50Hz, 30Hz, 25Hz and all between and same blackouts are occuring.

I can not find the rule when it happens (it's not related with ide activity). I forgot - tested with two diffrent models of pcmcia network cards. Card is made by Kipper.

I also have a V2 from Kipper and experience black outs when using 960x540 resolution. It gets annoying to the point that I starting to use WinUAE more frequently.

I have not yet done the capacitor mod, but am able to do SMD work so am happy to try this if it is suggested?

If so then what is the recommended value that this capacitor should actually be? I am happy to replace the capacitor entirely with the correct value rather than put another in parallel, or if putting in parallel then which is better to use, 10uf or 22uf?

Thanks
