At the moment Amiga OS 3.9 with the BoingBag 2 update needs SetPatch SKIPROMUPDATES "scsi.device,filesystem,exec.library" QUIET -command to work.

If you please, in future pictures/videos of the Apollo running a normal 68K program in WorkBench, could you please have TaskPie running on the desktop (if it runs under Apollo)? It was one of the few pieces of eye candy I ran on my 4000, but it also gives a nice idea of current cpu load for the major programs running. In filled color, not just the monochrome wireframe mode. ;)

Boing Bag updates from Haage&Partner contains a new version of the AmigaOS ROM.

Colour palette is extremaly reduced. So I don't think it is representative... Because normally you will work at least with 16bit palette (or more likely 24bit)...

Is it possible for us to make our own 3.9 ROM? I thought you had to patch the ROM to work with Apollo and that's why it included with each board?

Is the information out of date or wrong? I'd be very interested in this as my board has now arrived and I need to setup the HDD with workbench etc :D

(PS: Congrats!)

I've just realised that of course this is a slightly dumb question!
I can just use the ROM I have and build a custom ROM if I like.

Love those vid's you make, those got me all excited about the vampire card, and convinced this is the card my miggy needs.
Currently i have a broken A1200T blizzppc+bvision.
If i only could get the Zorro IV busboard working again (the phase 5 ppc card still works)

About the movie, it does seems to load/render quite slow, guess that will speed up when the FPU will be enabled on the Vampire.

I really like the icons and the transparent Amidock :)

Back in the day i did my eyecandy with birdie, visualprefs, magic menu PPC, reqattack etc etc.
