TOS On V4SA

I'm extremely interested running TOS on the V4SA, I have never used TOS outside of on ST(e|f) and falcon and I wonder what the compatibility is like, would games work, such as Dungeon Master for instance, and more serious applications such as APL ( EXTERNAL LINK ) for instance? What about SoftPC, PCDitto, GFAbasic and the usual photo editors? Do application generally need to be patched to run on modern TOSes?

What about networking, is it possible to use the V4SA's ethernet port with applications such as telnet/ftp, is there a dhcp client? is there a ssh client by any chance and some reasonable vt100 (or better + ANSI) tty emulator?

Is there a C compiler available? Would it support some of the unix syscalls, i.e. open(), socket(), inet_pton() etc? Does GFAbasic supports "networking" primitives on TOS or MiNT?

Is it possible to dual-boot MiNT and (emu)TOS? (note that I have never ran MiNT) and finally what resolutions are available (in color and monochrome)

Thank you for your support of the Atari systems on the V4SA, eager to get back into this; this is very exciting!

TOS by itself not run on v4sa, but emutos yes, for moment it run with core 7 and 8 (some have issue wuth but patch is coming in the week) core 9 can run but with ide issue for moment ( need hot reboot to detect it strange)
Don't expect run most game but some can run like dungein master, but we have a port of castaway running very well and very well adapted to v4sa (you can run .st or .msa just clicking from desktop
  EXTERNAL LINK

Gbe work didn't think pcditto or softpc work but not test so don't know. Guillaume software generally work, Guillaume has a v4sa and is now his main computer for dev under Atari.
    Most modern gem software work

Under mint internet is possible and ssh too, netsurf work. Not test too much that.

  PureC and gcc work

There is already configuration with dual boot emutos - mint (and much more) : EXTERNAL LINK
With nvdi near all resolution of v4sa are possible from 1 bit to 32 bit same as under Atari computer

Merci Olivier!

Thanks for the videos, it looks extremely promising and I hope that the Core 9 issues will be figured out soon, I'm going to read the other threads on how to set it up. Mint is probably best for me so I can use gcc; which version of gcc works under Mint on V4SA?

If you use one of my configuration, you have just to replace file in C:/v4sa/rom/

You can find this configuration here:
EXTERNAL LINK  This is in french but you can translate it today, this is probably better than a bad english!

You not need this file, last fVDI is include in configuration. To start take simple configuration ready to work name DRIVE_C_simple.tar.gz
