| Hello I have done a test version of aros vision that is reported to work on V4 It would be nice if people would test it on the hardware and report back EXTERNAL LINK it is optimized for V4 standalone so feedback from users there would be interesting. I have preconfigured PAL Hires Laced, that can be changed if booted with f.e. UAE

| with a small change the same version should also work on real hardware (of course at least 68030 and more fast ram) If there is interest I could create a HDF for that systems too

So, these Make Aros Vision first "vamp sa ready" Aros distro, congrats. What Are general Aros Vision highlights, e.g: - newest Aros and os3 free libs happily working together - Netsurf and SimpleMail offering basic net functionality - FreePascal and GCC included for developer - Music team provided by Eagle Player and HivelyTrackerAlso, How does it rank in included sw and functionality, s opossed to - e.g. bare aros.hdf avail in other forum, -Os3.9 + AfaOs and saga drivers as some modern baseline - or how does it rank c ompared to big x86 distros like icaros or aeros? Future q What improvements of Aros m68k and thus Aros vision you expect in e.g. next two years?

| - Download the HDF file - Transfer HDF file to Amiga OR use WinUAE and attached Amiga drive to create AROS partition - If Amiga, You need a bit of past knowledge to use HDToolBox to create actual partitions from HDF file You will have bootable AROS partition with all the files from Vision distro, that is good news. Bad is Amiga wont boot to it, or it boots to it, but you also have AmigaOS on other partition. If you have AmigaOS DH0: too, partition priority and boot flags will decide who will boot (also can be changed in HD Box). You can decide in early boot menu (hold both mouse buttons) or few lines can be added to Amiga S:Startup-sequence, that would instead loadwb boot to AROS :) Sorry, no convenient OS choices yet.

| Vampire.hdf image boots fine on V4SA (temp core link https://usercontent.irccloud-cdn.com/file/WDaqoJzB/V4SA_r7012B_AROS.jic). I recommend using normal PAL mode for the Wanderer, because interlaced or dbl modes are not supported yet. Also for the some reason mouse pointer is corrupted. Instead WHDLoad game 'Lure of the Temptress' works good and mouse pointer is OK with it.

| @saimo i thought the pointer corruption has been solved? what is it this time?

| It seems to occur only on this Vampire.hdf image, when it's booted to the Wander (or more like to Opus Magellan) and starting e.g this WHDLoad game makes it back to normal.

| Dear Olaf, I can test it today on V4. Just let me know: - what is the size of the HDF file? - is it possible to somehow boot the AROS from microSD? - or rather than that, I would need another CF card (what size)? - what is the best way of making this HDF bootable (only CF I presume)?

| Hello Michal, I have just uploaded the newest version. The HDF is 100 MB. As far as I know you just copy it on a microSD and boot. It should be bootable and does not need a core with aros roms.

| Vampire V4 does not boot from SD-Card. I copied your image with dd to CF Card. It boots and loads AROS ROM, then it shows the "Waiting for bootable media" screen. Also eraly startup screen works, but the CF Card is not detected. Also the SD Card is not detected.

| Also it is not possible to mount SD Card from Coffin, as it only undestands FAT32 on SD-Card.

| Do we need a different not yet publically released core? I am still on A34 core.
