After the big success of the Vampire 600 V2 and Vampire 500 V2+, Apollo Team is proud to announce their next generation FPGA device: the Vampire V4.

The Vampire V4 is made with a standard “one design to fit them all” and comes in three flavors depending on customer need:
  - The Vampire V4 Standalone System
  - The Vampire V4 for Amiga Classic compatible with
      - Amiga 1000/500/2000/CDTV
      - Amiga 600 with kippa’s adapter (if produced)
  - The Vampire V4 for Amiga 1200

This new Vampire V4 packs many upgraded specifications and brings Amiga Classic systems to another new performance paradigm thanks to its new Altera Cyclone 5 A5 FPGA and fast DDR3 memory.

The Vampire V4 standalone system will be a complete new Amiga system powered by the 68080 CPU core and the complete SAGA chipset (AGA compatible).

Vampire V4 is powered by:
  - FPGA : Altera Cyclone V A5 (77k LE, 28nm technology)
  - RAM : 512MB DDR3 (up to 1GB/s)

And supports:
  - FastIDE with 40/44-pin connectors
  - Digital Video-out up to 720p@60Hz
  - Dual Kickstart-flashrom (for safety)
  - MicroSD Storage

Certification: Vampire V4 is CE, WEEE and RoHS compliant

I simply lack words for this marvellous news...

Big thanks to all the Apollo/Vampire team(s) for all the effort they are putting in creating what is a dream for most Amigans

Will be a nie piece of HW if you are able to introduce it. I have a couple of questions:

1. What about the drivers to the Ethernet port? Are they already written, or at least in some testing stage?

2. Will the USB ports be available for mouse/keyboard only, or will they be visible by the Poseidon (or Anaiis) stack (at least one of them)?

3. Will it be compatible with Keyrah V2?

4. Will it be possible to use both IDE ports simultaneously (for example one for system drive and one for DVD)?

Good news, indeed.
But no distributor in Germany?

Apollo Team expects first batch of Vampire V4 to be available in Q4’17. An official ETA will be announced once
first batch order is processed at factory.

Details given in the pdf;

I have question:
Whether will be produced the V600v2 and V500v2+ parallelly with v4?
I want to know whether will be they parallel products for different part of the market or the team will be focused entirely on v4?

I will go for the v1200. But I'd like to have a kit with db9s and power adaptor to be able to "transform" it to standalone in case my 1200 stops working.

I ve read all the specs and documents, its more or less expected, kudos for 0,5GB RAM, but nowhere can I see the 080 Mhz frequency, which is crucial info for expected speed increase.

Could be V3, but hey, you decided to double the version numbers!

I am speaking of what I read in PDF. So this is my guess, no official statement.

It seems no further V2 orders will be taken, so no paralellism, just progress (similar to V1 now).

However, those who prepaid V2 will have choice of "having V2" or paying price diffence to V4.
