The Vampire does 24 bit as standard.. thats 256 level gradients, the amiga 12 bit palette did just 16 level gradients with a limit of 32 (64 ehb mode) or gah.... Ham 6 with strange artifacts.

A new bootpic should be 24 bit, too much hassle to do hand done pixel by pixel gradients. We only did this back in the day because we were trying to create the look of more colors.

I bought a $300 Retina card and dctv to stop killing myself with pixel art.

True, but has a distinct retro but fresh look.

Anyway, if I can have a request, it would be one Elvira Pixel Style and one Bella Lugosi :-) Count Duckula counts too ...

Yes it'mmmeeeeee :-D

This image was created with "TV PAINT".
But I can not change or create another, because I'm waiting for my vampire ...
And my BlizzardPPC is broken.
I hate to use a PC for drawing.

P.S Sorry for my poor English. I can read English, but writing and listening is a problem for me.

Actually the team has some cool pixel art from a prominent demo scene fellow... saw it and looks nice!

It's neither babes nor pixel art, but it was modelled, rigged and rendered on Vampire.

How about Sabrina (or someone from her little world) Vampire?

Too "out there"?

(Hmm, was mentioned already.)

Yes.. I really do not like fake scanlines.. it obscures the image and make it look gimmicky .. I'd love to see it as it is all sharp and clear (blocky is fine)..

Looks great already!

If you want a suggestion however, I'd say get a real skull image (or a stock 3D render), put it on the spare canvas in DPaint, and use the lightbox feature to trace it off. Use that as the basis for your more 'cartoony' skull.

And just as a 'fanboy' aside - Dpaint absolutely FLIES on Vampire. To it's credit it always ran perfectly well on a stock A500, but the more advanced features - anti-aliasing, lightbox, morphing, are all lightning fast now. It's a real treat, takes the old software to another level.

How about just a nice and sleek Vampire logo and no pixel-art? Or even better; The user of the board decides. (I'd go for a purple KS2 backdrop with a vampire-logo on the disc.)

since aros is becoming usable on 68k, with new saga drivers,
and aros is bringing a whole new perspective ..
maybe the boot-logo should reflect that.

i would propose: something with aros mascot (with vampire teeth)

Gunnar started this thread asking for a vampire girl in old pixel style format.

Shouldn't Vampire systems boot fast enough to not need any splash?
