Shenzen, 01.04.19

Apollo Team leader, Gunnar von Boehn, settles an agreement with Li "David" Xjiong, current vice-CTO at Shuawei for the Global Mobile Technology Division (GMTD) to develop together what will be the future of micro-processors powering next gen mobile phones.

"AC68080 makes a lot of sense for us since it's fast, power effective, super efficient and can run BCKid "

In a extremely competitive market, battleing for podium worldwide market shares requires to find new disruptive technologies to launch  innovative products.

That new agreement should show concrete results in September in a complete refreshed mobile phone line-up with the flagship models being called "P080 Pro and Mate 080", featuring AC68080 and a complete new operating system based on AROS.

Holy forking shirt balls.
That's good news, I knew there was something happening regarding maybe some of the instructions being licenced, but a whole microprocessor can only be a good thing.
Well done guys, I hope you make a decent amount of money from this.

That should be a tagline in every advert:
"fast, power effective, super efficient and can run BCKid" :D

This video at 36:30 shows an FPGA based c65 receiving a mobile call. Additionally the video is a nice watch's so sit back with a red, white or beer and enjoy.
Did you ever think an April fools would turn into reality? .... On an 8bit commodore? EXTERNAL LINK
P.s. oh and as I went to the blog to give you a link, I see that they have  ACTUALLY gotten a mobile phone format PCB back from the PCB mob. Just WOW. April fools fantasy is http://c65gs.blogspot.com/2019/03/megaphone-first-prototype-pcb-assembly.html?m=1....

Last year it was OS4 backport to 080? >:)
Amiga jokes got better and better. Whats next, Amiga laptop? >:)

Handheld Amiga would be great, but 080 needs a silicone first, and AROS some more polishing, touchscreen support etc.
