After a long time I have updated Aros Vision and the webpages again. 3.3 includes mostly updated components and software and some additions like MilkyTracker or installer replacement and others. Download on the aros website EXTERNAL LINK
it is only for UAE at the moment

As soon there is a public Aros running on vampire I will try to create a special version for it

you can run aros on original hardware with 3.X kickstarts because aros kickstarts are loaded in memory.

Is there an installation guide for installing AROS onto an actual Amiga?
I have downloaded it, but unsure how to proceed. I'm guessing it could be setup on a CF card via UAE, is it compatible with the current SAGA driver?

I hope there will be a special vampire version soon so I can combine my distro with it

Awww, ah well at least I have coffin OS for now. Would really like a standard OS for Vampire, for the V4 at least.

Me Too, Vamp edition could be called "A Vampire vision" >:-)

Is there a list of included software on website? I believe it was in the past

Edit: Look inside the archive reveals at least:

  - Updated datatypes
  - USB Class included
  - Zune based, Wanderer included
  - Very updated devs AHI, LZX.keyfile, card resources
  - Mediator PCI support, StormMESA included etc. RTG out of box
  - Large EXTRAS Section with everything and anything
  - KensIcons, NTFS support, FAT32 and EXT2
  - Updated LIBS,
  - Quite clean basic System folders beside updated ones

  Extras
  AUDIO
  DEMO
  DESKTOPS (DOPUS5, SCALOS)
  DEVELOPMENT
  DOCS
  EMULATION
  GAMES
  GRAPHICS
  ICONS
  INTERNET
  LIBS
  OFFICE (PDF and Ghostscript)
  SCUMM VM GAMES
  TOOLS
  UTILITIES
  WHD Load games

Quite comprehensive distro and nice start up

While it is something one could build from OS 3.x and/or AROS
with quite an effort (as with Coffin too) it would not be a shame to call it OS4 or OS5 if that would be possible >:)

i dont think we need yet another another version for any configuration out there. aros68k distribution should support widest range of amiga hardware and take advantage of available features. most of the above is already included in aros, even if some parts may need to be completed and/or fixed.

alas we still dont have aros dependably booting with vampire, even if it dependably boots with the same a600/2mb when the vampire is stripped.
kalamatee is adding debug to reveal what fails, as task switching is suspected.

Well, hope that will be fixed in time, as many AROS branches do improve. Kudos for doing it at all, plus starting to fix immediately as bugs are discovered.

While it would be great for AROS to fully support Vamp out of box, its nice to have a pack like Vision here. I ve tried AEROS on x86 and blend of fast Linux and AROS (and AROS and Linux apps) was appealing.
